The Salt Lake is a dry lake bed in the central Siccus Badlands. It is covered with a thick layer of salt, deposited over the centuries. The Lick of Salt river, by then a mere trickle, flows into the lake during winter. There is no exit from the lake, so the water evaporates and leaves behind salt and minerals.
There is a small community of salt harvesters that work the salt beds and sell the salt to Petraea and Qarkyr.
